The book "Benedetto il frate guerriero" is the sequel of the romance "The secret of monastery". It is the story of a benedettine monk in the search of his own religious identity. In the romance Benedetto initiate a long journey from Sicily to Subiaco monastery and during the trip the evil try many time to tempts him in order to capture his soul. In the middle of trip Benedetto reach San Demetrio a tormented little town in Calabria where the worrier nature of Benedetto help the entire community to be freed by briganti. After many adventure Benedetto become Abate of the little monastery of San Demetrio.
